Prof. Saša Zeljković is a full Professor at the Department of Inorganic Chemistry, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, University of Banja Luka. His research focuses on advanced materials synthesis, particularly via mechanochemical and solvent-deficient methods, with applications in environmental remediation, catalysis, and energy materials. He has authored/edited textbooks on inorganic chemistry and solid-state chemistry, and contributed to projects on recycling waste materials and sustainable tribology. His work spans nanomaterials, photocatalysis, and adsorption systems for heavy metal removal.
- Leading or participating in multiple national/international projects (e.g., circular economy applications of waste silica, eco-safe urban zone development).
- Published extensively in journals like Reaction Kinetics, Mechanisms and Catalysis, Chemical Papers, and ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces.
- Co-authored textbooks including Chemistry of the Solid State and Chemistry – Theory and Experiments.
Research trends emphasize sustainable materials synthesis, functional oxide nanoparticles, and environmental applications. Projects often involve collaborations on recycling industrial byproducts into useful materials.
