Sayd Randle is an Assistant Professor of Urban Studies at the College of Integrative Studies, Singapore Management University, and a Lee Kong Chian Fellow at the SMU Urban Institute. As an environmental anthropologist, she researches urban environmental transformations through ethnographic methods and political ecology frameworks.

Research Focus
Her work examines climate adaptation/mitigation efforts through infrastructure transitions, analyzing how reconfigurations of water systems and resource flows reshape urban landscapes, labor dynamics, and power structures across metropolitan regions. Current projects extend her arid U.S. West research to Singapore and Nepal. She authored Replumbing the City: Water Management as Climate Adaptation in Los Angeles (UC Press).
