Sayantan Saha Roy is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Connecticut. His research focuses on legal and political anthropology, postcolonialism, and reproductive rights in South Asia, particularly examining the "right to life" discourse in Indian constitutional contexts.

His current projects include a book on the "right to life" in Indian legal discourse and shorter works on reproductive rights. His publications in journals like Feminist Anthropology, American Ethnologist, and the Journal of the Royal Anthropological Institute explore intersections of biopolitics, affect theory, and postcolonial legal frameworks.
