Savas Tay is a Professor of Molecular Engineering and Director of the Biological and Immuno Engineering Research Theme at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering. His research focuses on immune signaling, single-cell analysis, microfluidics, infectious diseases, and microbiome dynamics. He directs the Tay Lab and is affiliated with the Institute for Genomics and Systems Biology. He holds a PhD in Optical Sciences from the University of Arizona and conducted postdoctoral research at Stanford University.
His research integrates experimental and computational approaches to study cellular communication networks, developing innovative technologies like microfluidic devices and proximity sequencing for high-throughput biological analysis.
