Saurabh Bhaskar Shaw

Saurabh Bhaskar Shaw is an Adjunct Research Professor at Western University specializing in translational neuroscience with expertise in artificial intelligence and neurotechnology development.

Dr. Shaw earned his PhD in Neuroscience along with Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Electrical and Biomedical Engineering from McMaster University. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Psychiatry at Western University before working as a Senior Data Scientist at Cognixion Inc., a neurotechnology company.

His research focuses on applying machine learning to understand brain function and develop affordable neurotechnologies for mental health disorders. Dr. Shaw founded PropelFocus to improve daily life for individuals with ADHD and established the Hamilton chapter of NeuroTechX to unite interdisciplinary researchers, clinicians, and industry partners interested in neurotechnology applications.

He currently leads industry relations at NeuroTechX for the NeuroTech Micro-credential Program partnership with Queen's University, connecting academic research with practical applications in the neurotechnology field.
