Satwik Rajaram

Satwik Rajaram is an Assistant Professor at the Lyda Hill Department of Bioinformatics, UT Southwestern Medical Center, with secondary appointments in the Department of Pathology and the Center for Alzheimer's and Neurodegenerative Diseases. His lab develops biology-guided machine learning approaches to study tissue morphology in kidney cancer and neurodegenerative diseases.

Research Interests focus on leveraging tissue organization as a biomarker through:

• Kidney Cancer: Linking tumor architecture to molecular states and drug responses
• Neurodegeneration: Using tau protein aggregate morphology to refine disease taxonomy
• Radiation Oncology: Predicting treatment outcomes via histopathology analysis
• Deep Learning for Histopathology: Addressing challenges like image size and staining variability

Publications highlight his work on intratumoral heterogeneity, machine learning for biomarker discovery, and quantitative microscopy, with applications spanning cancer evolution, tauopathies, and clinical pathology.
