Dr. Satish Nair is a Teaching Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Missouri. His career focuses on mathematical analysis and design of complex systems, particularly in computational neuroscience at molecular, cellular, network, and behavioral levels. He has developed graduate courses in Theoretical Neuroscience and an interdisciplinary undergraduate Computational Neuroscience course.
Research interests span computational neuroscience, systems biology, biomedical engineering, control systems, and fear conditioning. His NIH and NSF-funded projects include modeling fear acquisition/extinction in amygdala circuits and pediatric trauma triage systems.
