Saskia Terstegen is Acting Professor at the Department of General Educational Science, Freiburg University of Education, since October 2024. She was a Post-Doc at Goethe University Frankfurt (2022–2024) and completed her PhD there in 2022 with a dissertation on racial regimes and resistance in US high schools.
- Education: Diplom-Pädagogik (Adult Education focus, 2014), PhD in Educational Science (2022).
Research interests include:
- Critical analysis of racialization and discrimination in education
- Planetary research and Anthropocene critique
- Poststructuralist and reconstructive qualitative methodologies
- Subjectification processes in migration societies
- Intercultural and transnational educational frameworks
