Saskia Huc-Hepher is Reader in Diasporic and Digital French Studies at the University of Westminster's School of Humanities, where she serves as Assistant Head of School. She holds expertise in French diaspora studies and digital heritage preservation.
Research examines identity, belonging, and homemaking practices within London's French community through:
- Blended ethnography combining offline/online methods
- Curatorship of the London French Special Collection (UK Web Archive)
- Xenofeminist analysis of digital cultural heritage
She co-edits Digital Modern Languages (Modern Languages Open) and co-organized the AHRC-funded Digital Diasporas conference. Current projects include Migrants In Transit, a British Academy-funded writing program for emerging migration scholars.
Teaching includes multilingual e-collaboration, translation, and London migrant experiences. She supervises doctoral research on Caribbean translation, Chinatown heritage, and North African migration narratives.
