Sasha Steensen

Sasha Steensen is a Full Professor of English at Colorado State University, specializing in Poetry and American Literature. She teaches poetry workshops and literature courses focusing on colonial American, 19th-century American, Modernist, and contemporary American poetry. Her current projects include a nonfiction essay collection and the hybrid work Overland, exploring Northern Colorado's geography, Indigenous history, and Overland Trail colonization.

She serves as a poetry editor for Colorado Review and editor for the Test Site Poetry Series.

Steensen actively contributes to literary communities through editorial work and public scholarship. Her forthcoming projects and existing publications reflect a commitment to innovative forms and interdisciplinary exploration.
