Sarup Mathur

Sarup Mathur is a Professor and the Ryan C. Harris Professor of Special Education at Arizona State University's Mary Lou Fulton College for Teaching and Learning Innovation. She also serves as Associate Dean for Scholarly Advancement. Her work focuses on emotional and behavioral disorders in youth, juvenile justice reform, and educational reentry programs.

Publications: Her recent articles (2022–2025) explore mental health services in schools, recidivism prevention through EdTech, STEM education for justice-involved youth, and global collaborations in special education. Notable trends include policy analysis, culturally responsive teaching, and systemic reforms in juvenile corrections.

Grants and Leadership: She leads projects like PLEDJJ (OSEP-funded) and PRVNT (Department of Justice-funded). She has directed numerous initiatives, including the Arizona Detention Transition Project and international programs like Shikshak Quest with India.
