Sarah de Heer is a Doctoral student and Researcher at the Department of Law, Lund University, within the Faculty of Law. She holds dual affiliations as a Researcher at Health Law and Public Law. Her research focuses on AI-driven medical devices' regulatory frameworks and their alignment with the right to health, particularly in precision medicine contexts. She previously taught international and European law at universities in the Netherlands and Belgium, supervised theses in IP/IT law, and coached moot court teams. Before academia, she was a Blue Book trainee at the European Commission’s Directorate General Connect and a legal researcher at a policy consultancy. She is involved in the AICARE project exploring AI’s impact on health rights and participates in interdisciplinary collaborations across law, healthcare, and technology.
