Sarah Wengryniuk

Sarah Wengryniuk is an Associate Professor of Chemistry at Temple University specializing in organic synthesis. Her research develops asymmetric methodologies and natural product syntheses to enable biological investigations of complex molecules.

Her lab focuses on C–H activation strategies, asymmetric C–C bond formation, novel routes to heterocyclic systems, and natural product synthesis targeting cancer metastasis. The research bridges synthetic organic chemistry and medicinal applications.

Recent publications demonstrate extensive work with hypervalent iodine reagents for C–H functionalization, heterocycle synthesis, and stereoselective transformations. The research shows consistent innovation in reaction design with applications toward biologically active scaffolds.
