Sarah Waters

Sarah Waters is an Adjunct Professor at Belhaven University's Center for the Arts, Music Department, since 2016. She teaches courses in Music History, Ethnomusicology, Popular Music, and private voice lessons, emphasizing the intersection of music, history, and theology.

Her research explores historical and cultural dimensions of music, including the oratorios of Heinrich Schütz and Choctaw hymnody. Waters is affiliated with the American Musicological Society, Society for Christian Scholarship in Music, and Global Ethnodoxology Network.
