Sarah K. Crocker is an Adjunct Professor of Harp at Lipscomb University and Middle Tennessee State University, affiliated with their respective School of Music programs. She holds a B.M., M.M., and D.M.A. in Harp Performance with a Musicology cognate from the University of Alabama, where she also taught Ethnomusicology and Musicology. Her roles include serving as principal harpist for multiple orchestras, including the North Mississippi Symphony Orchestra and Tennessee Philharmonic Orchestra, and co-founding chamber groups like the Druid City Ensemble and Sticks & Strings.
Dr. Crocker’s research and teaching focus on harp performance, ethnomusicology, and Latin American music/dance. She has presented at international conferences and institutions such as the National Flute Convention and American Harp Society National Summer Institute. She currently owns Hillnote Music, offering harp services and lessons, and holds leadership roles in the American Harp Society, including Regional Director Coordinator and Editorial Board Member of the American Harp Journal.
