Sarah Wadd

Sarah Wadd directs the Substance Misuse and Ageing Research Team (SMART) at the Tilda Goldberg Centre. Her work addresses alcohol-related harm in older populations through evidence-based interventions and policy reforms.

Research examines: 1) Accessibility of addiction services for seniors, 2) Alcohol management in care homes, and 3) Social determinants of late-onset problem drinking. Leads national initiatives like the Drink Wise Age Well programme evaluation funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.
