Sarah Terrill is an Assistant Professor and Co-Chair of the Neuroscience Department at Carthage College. She holds a B.S. in Neuroscience and Psychology from Baldwin Wallace University, an M.S. in Psychology and Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Florida State University. Her postdoctoral training included fellowships at the University of Southern California and Northeast Ohio Medical University. Her research focuses on neural and hormonal control of food intake and body weight, leveraging modern neuroscience tools and surgical techniques. She is particularly noted for mentoring undergraduate researchers, many of whom pursue advanced degrees in medicine and science. Her work emphasizes providing students with opportunities to present research at national and international conferences. Outside academia, she enjoys cooking, biking, family travel, and spending time with her three dogs.
