Sarah Sobalvarro serves as a Research Associate at the Center for Global Security Research, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), focusing on nuclear security and nonproliferation while concurrently pursuing a Master's degree in Security Studies at Georgetown University's Walsh School of Foreign Service.

Her research centers on tracking Generation IV and dual-use nuclear technology transfers to the Global South, with specialized expertise in security risks arising from state-led commercial nuclear export programs to non-nuclear nations. This work, presented at RUSI’s UK Project on Nuclear Issues 2024 Annual Conference, examines proliferation vulnerabilities in emerging nuclear markets.
