معرفی
Sarah Rozelle is an Associate Teaching Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Lowell within the College of Sciences. She earned her Ph.D. in Molecular Medicine from Boston University School of Medicine (2014) and a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of California at Davis (2006).
Research Interests
Dr. Rozelle specializes in stem cell biology, focusing on modeling genetic disorders like sickle cell anemia and investigating hematopoietic development. Her work explores the aryl hydrocarbon receptor's role in blood cell differentiation and the generation of disease-specific induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). She combines molecular medicine with cellular engineering to study disease mechanisms and therapeutic approaches.
Scientific Contributions
Her publications highlight expertise in iPSC generation, hematopoietic progenitor cell regulation, and stem cell-derived blood cell production. Collaborative research includes optimizing lentiviral vectors for reprogramming and analyzing ethnic diversity in sickle cell disease models. Though no awards are listed, her work contributes to regenerative medicine and hematology advancements.
