معرفی
Sarah Pixley is a Professor in the Department of Pharmacology & Systems Physiology at the University of Cincinnati. Her research focuses on neural tissue repair using novel biomaterials, particularly magnesium-based materials and carbon nanotubes for peripheral nerve regeneration. She leads studies on magnesium's role in reducing neuronal damage and vasospasm post-injury, funded by NSF grants and collaborations with engineering teams.

- Doctoral Degree: Anatomy, UCLA (1983)
- Postdoctoral Work: Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and UC Irvine (1985-1987)
Research Interests:
- Developing biodegradable magnesium implants for nerve repair
- Carbon nanotube applications in neuronal differentiation
- Neuroprotective effects of magnesium ions
- Clinical translation of metallic biomaterials
Grant Collaborations:
