Sarah Newton-Gray is a Lecturer in Adult Nursing at the University of South Wales (USW), affiliated with the Faculty of Life Sciences and Education. She began her nursing journey at USW in 2006 and transitioned from supporting adults with learning disabilities to adult nursing. Her career includes roles in acute care, critical care, and surgical recovery, alongside experience as a practice facilitator during the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, she leads the PGCertEd (Healthcare Professionals) program and teaches on BSc Nursing (pre-registration and PGDiP) courses.
Her expertise focuses on teaching and learning methodologies, emphasizing equality, inclusivity, and diversity. She previously served as the disabilities lead at Swansea University and advocates for LGBTQ+ communities in healthcare. Her work prioritizes preparing future healthcare professionals to address diverse patient needs through intersectional approaches.
