Sarah Miller

Dr. Sarah Miller is Associate Professor of Business Economics and Public Policy at University of Michigan's Ross School of Business. Her research examines health insurance expansion policies, income-health relationships, and healthcare disparities using econometric methods. Awarded the 2022 ASHEcon Medal for significant contributions to health economics, her work appears in leading journals including the Quarterly Journal of Economics, JAMA Network Open, and Health Affairs.

Research Focus: Miller's empirical investigations analyze how public policies like Medicaid expansions affect healthcare access, financial wellbeing, and health outcomes across generations. Current projects examine disparities in cancer treatment access and the economic consequences of abortion restrictions.
