Samantha Burn is an Assistant Professor of Economics and Public Policy at Imperial College Business School, Imperial College London. She holds a PhD in Health Policy & Economics from Harvard University and MPhil/Bachelor's degrees from Oxford University. Her research examines healthcare rationing mechanisms, public-private healthcare financing, and equity in health insurance systems.
Current projects analyze bureaucratic barriers in Medicaid/Medicare, spatial determinants of healthcare utilization, and distributional impacts of insurance expansions. Her work combines econometric methods with policy analysis to evaluate healthcare access disparities.
At Imperial, she teaches graduate courses in Health Analytics and Contemporary Topics in Health Economics. Previously at Harvard, she taught Microeconomic Theory and Health Economics courses. She maintains an active research profile with recent publications in health economics and policy journals.
