Sarah Meiklejohn is a Professor in Cryptography and Security at University College London (UCL) and a Staff Research Scientist at Google. She is affiliated with UCL's Information Security Group within the Department of Computer Science and serves as Associate Director of the Initiative for Cryptocurrencies and Contracts (IC3). Her research focuses on cryptographic protocols, blockchain technologies, and privacy-preserving systems. She holds a PhD from UC San Diego and prior degrees from Brown University.

Her projects include TITANIUM (2017–2020) and Glass Houses (2016–2021), addressing transparency and privacy challenges in digital economies.
Professional Activities: She has organized major events like the Workshop on Cryptography Applied to Transparency Systems (CATS 2023) and served as program committee member or chair for conferences including IEEE S&P, USENIX Security, and Financial Crypto. Her work bridges theory and practice, with notable contributions to blockchain forensics, zero-knowledge proofs, and secure distributed systems.
