Dr. Balaji Palanisamy is an Associate Professor at the University of Pittsburgh's School of Computing and Information, specializing in data privacy, privacy-preserving system design, and scalable resource management for distributed systems and cloud computing. He co-directs the Laboratory of Research and Education on Security Assured Information Systems (LERSAIS) and serves as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Services Computing. He is also the chair of the IEEE Communications Society's Pittsburgh chapter.
