Sarah Mcmullen

Sarah Mcmullen is a post-doctoral researcher within the Division of Population Health, Health Services Research & Primary Care at the University of Manchester. Holding a PhD, she focuses on improving mental-health service delivery, patient safety, and carer well-being, with a particular emphasis on community care transitions and low-resource settings.

Education:

• MSc Epidemiology, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (2018)

Research interests span mental-health services research, evidence synthesis, patient-safety interventions, and support mechanisms for informal carers. Her work aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those targeting good health and well-being.

Across her two most recent articles (2021 and 2023), she employs both systematic-review methodology and participatory consensus techniques to generate actionable evidence for clinicians and policymakers in mental-health care.
