Sarah Mansbridge is a Lecturer in Social Psychology at the University of Northampton, affiliated with the Centre for Psychological and Sociological Sciences. She holds a PhD in Applied Social Psychology from Oxford Brookes University, alongside a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and an MRes in Developmental Psychology. Her research focuses on social change, particularly the psychology of electric vehicle usage and EDI-related issues such as student mental health, BME community engagement in STEM, and alcohol/drug prevalence among international students.
Key projects include a 2024 study investigating UK university drug/alcohol prevalence and its impact on international student belonging. She has co-authored peer-reviewed articles on topics like student alcohol experiences, prostate cancer awareness in Black communities, and mental health support in higher education. Mansbridge is a chartered member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and actively engages in public outreach through initiatives like STEM4Me, enhancing primary school STEM aspirations.
Her work bridges academic research with practical applications, emphasizing inclusive policies and community health education. Recent contributions include developing patient experience measures for diabetes care and exploring advising practices for students with mental health needs.
