Sarah M. Drejet, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Head and Neck Surgical Oncology and Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Utah's Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. She specializes in head and neck oncology, reconstructive surgery, and global health. Her clinical interests include cancers of the oral cavity, oropharynx, larynx, and skull base, alongside endocrine surgery and transoral robotic techniques.
Dr. Drejet completed her fellowship in Head and Neck Surgery and Microvascular Reconstruction at Vanderbilt University, following residency in Otolaryngology at Indiana University. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College (now Sidney Kimmel Medical College). Her research focuses on functional outcomes, surgical ethics, and improving access to care, particularly in global health contexts. She has provided surgical support in Africa and aims to establish international training programs.
Her academic contributions include studies on cardiovascular risks in cancer survivors, robotic surgery advancements, and pediatric tumor management. She is board-certified in Otolaryngology by the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.
