معرفی
Sarah Larragy is a Research Fellow in Botany at Trinity College Dublin, affiliated with the People and Nature research group led by Prof Jane Stout and Dr Jessica Knapp. Her work focuses on insect pollinator conservation, particularly understanding threats to pollinators like bumblebees and their responses to environmental changes through molecular and ecological techniques.
She currently leads research in the Horizon Europe-funded RestPoll project (https://restpoll.eu/), developing tools to reverse pollinator declines across European agricultural landscapes. Previously, her PhD at Maynooth University (supervised by Dr James Carolan and Prof Stout) involved molecular and behavioral analysis of buff-tailed bumblebee populations.
Research interests emphasize integrating genetic data with ecological observations to address conservation challenges in rapidly changing environments.
