Dr. Sarah Kiden is a Research Fellow at the University of Southampton, focusing on the intersection of technology, governance, and societal impact. She is actively involved in the Citizen-Centric Artificial Intelligence Systems (CCAIS) and Responsible AI UK (RAI UK) initiatives, exploring ethical AI design and public participation mechanisms. Her work emphasizes collaboration with non-expert 'knowledge-holders' to enhance trust and transparency in AI systems.
Previously, she held a Marie Curie Research Fellowship through a joint EU-funded program between Northumbria University and Mozilla, investigating responsible IoT design with grassroots communities.
