Sarah Kasher-Bendet is a Lecturer in the Department of Hebrew at Yeshiva University. She holds a Certificate from Beth Jacob of Jerusalem and has a deep academic lineage, having studied under her father, Rabbi Moshe Shlomo Kasher, and grandfather, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Kasher, at Machon Torah Shlema in Jerusalem. Her career spans over 25 years in Hebrew language and publication roles, including managing the Histadruth Ivrit of America's publications (e.g., Hadoar, Lamishpaha) and editing children’s educational materials for the Board of Jewish Education. At Yeshiva University, she has taught advanced and upper-intermediate Hebrew courses since 2013, alongside roles at Rambam Yeshiva, Manhattan High School, and an Omaha Ulpan. Her focus centers on enhancing students’ mastery of Hebrew linguistics and literature.
