معرفی
Dr. Sarah Jane Veevers is an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham's School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences. Her research focuses on sedimentological and sequence stratigraphical analysis of Silurian successions in the Welsh Basin, particularly in Pembrokeshire and the Welsh Borderland. She specializes in lithostratigraphical, chemostratigraphical, and sequence stratigraphical methods applied to clastic and mixed clastic-carbonate sequences.
Education:
- PhD (2006): "Sedimentological and sequence stratigraphical studies in the Silurian of the Welsh Basin," University of Birmingham
- BSc Hons Geology (2000), University of Wales, Aberystwyth
- PGCE Secondary Geography (2007), Open University
Her research interests integrate field-based geological analysis with stratigraphical techniques to understand ancient depositional systems. She collaborates with the Ludlow Research Group (LRG) and the IGCP Project 591: The Early to Middle Palaeozoic Revolution, contributing to broader paleoenvironmental and tectonic studies. Jane has also contributed to undergraduate teaching, including sedimentary geology lectures and fieldwork programs in locations like Pembrokeshire and Assynt.
Awards/Grants: No specific awards or grants mentioned in the text.
