Sarah Jane Cervenak

Sarah Jane Cervenak is a Professor at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, affiliated with the Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program and the African American and African Diaspora Studies Program. Her research and teaching focus on feminist theory, Black studies, performance studies, visual culture, and philosophy.

She earned her Ph.D. in Performance Studies from New York University and holds a graduate degree from Rutgers University. Her scholarly work explores the intersections of Black radicalism, feminist thought, and artistic practices.
