Dr. Sarah Hupp Williamson is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civic Engagement and Public Service at University College, University of West Georgia. She specializes in criminology with a focus on human trafficking, global inequality, and media representations of crime. Her research examines the intersections of globalization, power structures, and criminal behavior across multiple contexts.
Dr. Williamson holds a B.A. (2013) and M.A. (2015) in Criminology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, and a Ph.D. in Sociology from North Carolina State University (2019). Her educational background provides a strong foundation in sociological analysis of crime patterns.
