Dr. Sarah Henstra is an Associate Professor in the Department of English at Toronto Metropolitan University. She holds a BArtsSc from McMaster University, an MA from Western University, and a PhD from the University of Toronto. Her expertise spans 20th century British fiction and creative writing, with a focus on public memory, mourning, feminist histories, and narrative studies. She has authored three novels, including The Red Word (2018 Governor General’s Literary Award winner), and a monograph on counter-memorial impulses in English fiction.
