Dr. Sarah Heck is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Temple University's Department of Geography and Urban Studies, affiliated with the Center for Sustainable Communities. Her work focuses on human and environmental geography, sustainable infrastructure, and the societal impacts of hazards. She holds a Ph.D. from Temple University, where her dissertation examined water infrastructure legacies and racial capitalism in the Mid-Mississippi River Region.
Education: Ph.D. in Geography and Urban Studies from Temple University (dissertation: 'Sustainable Futures, Water Infrastructure Legacies, and Racial Capitalism').
