Sarah Guthery serves as an Associate Professor in the Educational Leadership and Policy Studies department at the University of Oklahoma's Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education. She joined OU in 2023 after serving as an Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University Commerce since 2017.
Her research focuses on:
- Educator Labor Market dynamics
- Teacher and Principal Production systems
- Retention and Promotion mechanisms
- Educational Policy impacts
- Quantitative analysis of educator preparation
Dr. Guthery earned her PhD from Southern Methodist University with emphasis in educational quantitative research. She has taught undergraduate and graduate courses leading to teacher and principal certification and has served on multiple state advisory boards focused on fair and equitable use of educator preparation data and program assessment.
Her professional activities include service on state-level education policy boards where she applies her expertise in quantitative research methods to improve educator preparation systems and ensure equitable practices across teacher training programs.
