Sarah Gruszka is a Contract Researcher (ANR) at the Centre for Historical Research (CRH), École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS), and an associate researcher at the Chair of Excellence 'Holocaust and Genocide Studies' at the University of Caen. Her work focuses on subjectivities in wartime, diaristic practices in the Soviet Union, and mass violence during the 20th century. She co-founded the Holocaust Diaries Project, funded by the Foundation for the Memory of the Shoah and the ANR/DFG FRAL project (2025–2028).

Selected Publications (2021–2025) explore personal testimonies during crises, war memorials, and political instrumentalization of historical memory. She received the Chancellery of the Universities of Paris Prize for her thesis on the Siege of Leningrad. Her forthcoming work on Soviet corpses in wartime will be published in 2025.
