Sarah Grube Jakobsen

Sarah Grube Jakobsen is a Post.doc at the Center for Selvmordsforskning and a Guest researcher in the Research Unit of Mental Health Services at the University of Southern Denmark. She holds a PhD in Health Sciences (2024) and MSc/BS in Public Health from the University of Copenhagen and University of Southern Denmark.

Her research focuses on registration practices and healthcare contact patterns among individuals with self-harm or suicidal behavior. Key areas include missed opportunities in suicide prevention, adolescent self-harm differences, and healthcare utilization analysis using nationwide register data.

Her work has been published in journals like Psychiatry Research and Archives of Suicide Research, with 12 peer-reviewed outputs. She actively engages in media outreach, presenting findings on data reliability for self-harm/suicide registries.

Jakobsen supervises student projects, teaches advanced qualitative methods, and participates in over 35 academic activities including conference presentations and peer reviews.
