معرفی
Sarah Fineberg, MD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine, specializing in social neuroscience and disorders of social cognition, particularly Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). She holds appointments at the Center for Brain & Mind Health and the Damisah Lab, among others. Her research integrates computational models, neuroimaging, and clinical interventions to explore neural mechanisms underlying mental illnesses and develop innovative treatments like real-time neurofeedback.
Dr. Fineberg earned her MD and PhD from the University of Iowa (2010) and a BA from Oberlin College (2000). Her work has been recognized with grants from the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation and American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Notable studies include investigating self-referential language in BPD, social learning deficits, and ketamine’s effects on neural circuits.
Her research also addresses societal impacts like sleep disruptions linked to social media use and clinical trials for binge-eating disorder. She advises on overmedication in BPD and collaborates on systems-level resilience initiatives for healthcare workers during crises like the pandemic.
Dr. Fineberg’s lab, the Fineberg Lab, focuses on BPD’s neurobiological underpinnings and translational research. She is affiliated with multiple interdisciplinary programs, including the Interdepartmental Neuroscience Program and the Janeway Society.
