معرفی
Maggie Taylor Davis is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Yale University, with a co-appointment in the Department of Psychology. Her research focuses on neurobiological mechanisms underlying trauma-related psychopathologies, including PTSD, borderline personality disorder (BPD), and suicide behaviors. She employs advanced imaging techniques like PET and fMRI to identify biomarkers and therapeutic targets. Davis leads grants funded by NIMH and the AFSP, investigating glutamate and opioid systems in mental health. She also specializes in evidence-based therapies (e.g., CBT, DBT) and directs the Yale New Haven Health Adult Behavioral Intensive Outpatient Program’s research initiatives. Her work includes validating PTSD assessment tools (PCL-5, CAPS-5) and promoting access to life-saving interventions for trauma survivors.
- Education: PhD in Clinical Psychology (Auburn University, 2016), Postdoctoral Fellowship (Yale School of Medicine, 2018)
Research Interests: Neuroimaging biomarkers for PTSD and BPD, neuroimmune mechanisms in mental disorders, and translational approaches to suicide prevention. Her lab (UPLiFT Lab) explores mGluR5 receptor roles in psychiatric conditions.
Publications highlight studies on mGluR5’s link to suicide attempts, neuroinflammation in PTSD, and DBT efficacy. Awards include the Patterson Trust Award and NIMH Loan Repayment Award. She collaborates with institutions like the Janeway Society and the Translational Brain Imaging Program.
