Prof. Sarah Davies is a Universitätsprofessorin at the University of Vienna's Department of Science and Technology Studies (STS). Her work bridges the co-production of science and society with a focus on digital practices, academic work conditions, and science communication. She holds a PhD from Imperial College London (2008) and has held positions in the UK, US, Denmark, and Norway, including a Marie Curie Fellowship. Her research examines how digital tools mediate scientific knowledge production and public engagement.
Key research interests include: digitization in academia, material practices of technoscience, critical studies of science communication, and the role of digital technologies in shaping scientific practices.
