Kalindi Vora is a Professor of Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies; Ethnicity, Race, and Migration; and American Studies at Yale University. Her research bridges Science and Technology Studies (STS), critical race theory, and feminist anthropology, focusing on how technological systems perpetuate racial, gendered, and colonial inequalities. She holds a National Science Foundation grant for her project on autoimmune disorders and patient-physician knowledge co-production.
Her work examines intersections of technology, labor, and health through projects like *Surrogate Humanity* (co-authored with Neda Atanasoski), which critiques racialized AI design, and *Technoprecarious*, analyzing digital labor precarity. She also leads the NSF-funded 'Asking Different Questions' initiative training STEM researchers in social justice frameworks.
