Sarah Cook is a Visiting Professor in Art and AI at Umeå University, affiliated with the Umeå School of Architecture (UMA), Umeå Institute of Design (UID), and Bildmuseet. She also holds a professorship in Museum Studies at the University of Glasgow. Her work bridges art, design, digital media, and science/technology, with a focus on curating new media art and documenting histories of machine learning in artistic practices.
Key research interests include data-driven art-science collaborations, generative systems, and the intersection of information studies with contemporary art. Her exhibitions, such as '24/7: A Wake-up Call for our Non-stop World' (2019), highlight critical engagements with technology and society.
