معرفی
Dr Sarah Brown is a Lecturer at the School of Pharmacy, University of Wolverhampton. Her work bridges cell and molecular biology with translational applications in cancer research and reproductive biology.
Her research focuses on Bioportide technology, leveraging cell-penetrating peptides (CPPs) to modulate intracellular protein interactions. Key contributions include investigating non-hormonal male contraception via sperm motility regulation and pioneering sperm-specific phosphatase targeting. This work, patented in 2017, has garnered media attention from BBC Horizon and Channel 4.
Scientific trends in her publications highlight aldehyde dehydrogenase (ALDH) as a therapeutic target in cancer stem cells, disulfiram-copper synergy for chemosensitization, and ROS-MAPK/NFκB pathway manipulation. These studies span breast cancer, glioblastoma, and drug development.
Her expertise includes flow cytometry, western blotting, transfections, and confocal imaging, with a career trajectory from PhD in Biochemistry (University of Manchester) to Research Fellow (2005) and Lecturer (2012) at Wolverhampton.
