Dr. Sarah Brouillette is a Professor in the Department of English Language and Literature at Carleton University. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Toronto and researches contemporary literature, cultural policy, and Marxist theory.
Her scholarly work critiques creative economies and global literary markets, examining platforms like Wattpad and authors such as Sally Rooney. Recent projects analyze care labor in digital publishing and heteronormative narratives in contemporary fiction. Her award-winning books include UNESCO and the Fate of the Literary (Stanford, 2019) and Literature and the Creative Economy (Stanford, 2014).
