Professor Sarah Bridle holds the Chair in Food, Climate and Society at the University of York's Department of Environment & Geography. Her transdisciplinary research focuses on quantitatively analyzing environmental and nutritional impacts of dietary choices to drive systemic food system transformations. She pioneered the Take a Bite out of Climate Change project and presented at the Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition 2019.
With a background in astrophysics (PhD, University of Cambridge, 2000), she transitioned to environmental science, holding research positions across multiple institutions including UCL, Manchester University, and York. Author of over 100 peer-reviewed publications (>10,000 citations, h-index>50), she authored the bestselling book *Food and Climate Change - Without the Hot Air* (2020).
