Sarah Blower is an Associate Professor in the Department of Health Sciences at the University of York, specializing in the design, implementation and evaluation of interventions to improve the health and wellbeing of infants, children, young people and their families. She leads the Family Wellbeing Team and serves as Evaluation Workstream Lead for the Bradford Better Start Innovation Hub (BSBIH).

Sarah's research focuses on developing and evaluating interventions designed to reduce inequalities in child health and development through collaborative approaches with parents, carers and professionals. Her work spans multiple methodologies including randomized controlled trials, qualitative research, and mixed methods. She has extensive experience working with charities, local authorities and other organizations to develop effective prevention and early intervention strategies.

Sarah supervises PhD students and advises on topics related to child development, with specific expertise in infant mental health, parenting interventions, and outcome measurement. Her methodological expertise spans both quantitative and qualitative approaches including systematic reviews, randomized controlled trials, and process evaluation.
