Sarah Beth serves as Assistant Professor of Instruction in Costume Technology within the Department of Theater at Ohio University's Chaddock and Morrow College of Fine Arts. Her professional trajectory bridges academia and industry through extensive hands-on experience across diverse performance mediums including theatre, opera, ballet, dance, film, and music videos.
Her expertise centers on Costume Design and Costume Technology, with specialized knowledge in theatrical makeup application and period costume replication. Professor Beth's teaching philosophy emphasizes practical skill acquisition through direct engagement with professional-grade equipment and materials, informed by her decade-plus career in regional theatre production.
Professor Beth maintains active industry connections through her former roles as resident designer at GREAT Theatre and Midland Community Theatre, costume supervisor at Brigham Young University, and international touring experience with Young Ambassadors.
