Sarah Ballard is an Assistant Professor of Astronomy at the University of Florida, affiliated with the Department of Astronomy. Her research focuses on exoplanet discovery and stellar physics through space-based observatories. She also leads outreach initiatives via the Self-care with Drs. Sarah podcast, which addresses mental health, impostor syndrome, and gender dynamics in academia.
Ballard completed her PhD in 2012 with the thesis In Pursuit of New Worlds: Searches for and Studies of Transiting Exoplanets from Three Space-Based Observatories.
